In the awe-inspiring lands of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, it doesn’t get much better than staying in a home right on the banks of Loch Earn. With the heady scents of pine trees and the fresh loch air, your senses are surrounded by natural beauty wherever you turn – plus some even more beautiful sights in the cottage. A former bothy, this home has a history of protecting weary travellers from the Scottish elements. Today, it doesn't show much of its rustic roots. Bright red Chesterfields, zebra-print upholstery, an outdoor gym, bar, and private chef are just some of the updated features. Of course you’ll still find tartan throws and a wood-burning stove, but this home really defies expectations overall. But with panoramic views of the loch, and several outdoor areas for alfresco dining and fireside tales, you might be spending a lot of time outside. We recommend a scenic drive around Loch Earn to reach the foot of Ben Vorlich in forty-five minutes. Don’t forget your walking boots, this Munro is one of the best climbs in the area (an easy 985-metre walk to the summit).
